Benefits

Making patient care safer and more comfortable for both the patient and medical workers in the healthcare environment requires a reduction or all-together elimination of patient transfers. This can be accomplished through the use of the versatile Stretcher-Chairs that TransMotion Medical manufactures. Yet the benefits of using today's innovative procedure stretcher-chairs like the TMM3 Video Fluoroscopy Swallow Chair,   TMM4 Multi-Purpose Treatment Stretcher-Chair, TMM5 Mobile Surgical Stretcher-Chair and the new TMM6 Power Drive Chair stretch far beyond injury and fall prevention. See more benefits of the TMM6 here.

It is no surprise to the healthcare industry or its workers that the leading cause of back injury is patient transfer. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the size of the problem showing that healthcare workers "occupy six of the top ten occupations at highest risk for back injuries." In truth, the Bureau's statistics are indicative of a problem that is not confined to back injury alone.

We have literally changed the way hospitals, medical facilities and surgery centers deliver treatment.

We invite you to see how TransMotion treatment chairs can simply and significantly improve operations in your medical environment.

ONE PATIENT, ONE SURFACE
from Admission to Discharge

Motorized for Safe Patient Handling

The key feature of TransMotion Medical stretcher-chairs is they are motorized!  The exceptional motorized positioning is controlled by a hand-held pendant no manual cranks, foot-pump hydraulics or complicated pneumatics! At the push of a button they convert from chair to stretcher, and move from low to high height for safe and controlled positioning. The video fluroscopy features a 90 degree seat rotation for effortless fluoroscopy studies, and the Power Drive eliminates ALL push-pull during patient transport.

To retain a healthy staff and meet Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goal # 9 (reduce the risk of patient harm resulting from falls), implement equipment that achieves safe patient handling. This can be accomplished with mobile motorized stretcher-chairs. Motorized positioning from chair to stretcher, allows outpatients to go from admission, to procedure, to discharge on ONE surface – eliminating the need to transfer or manually position the patient. This reduces the likelihood of Workers’ Compensation costs associated with staff lifting injuries. In addition, the elimination of transfers greatly reduces patient fall risk.

Optimal Patient Throughput

It’s simple time is money. If more outpatients can be moved through a medical facility safely, more revenue can be made. How is this achieved? Reduce patient transfers. Currently, many surgical staff perform an average of 3 transfers per case. Multiply this with the number of surgeries performed at your facility each year. That’s a considerable amount of time spent transferring patients! Take your facility to the next level – purchase stretcher-chairs to eliminate transfers.  By eliminating transfers both patient throughput and revenue is increased, thus netting a return on investment that is measured in months, not years.

Maximizing Space

Maximize space by utilizing mobile equipment that has multiple uses and requires less space. The small footprint of stretcher-chairs is making a large impression in the medical market. In the upright position, a stretcher-chair requires HALF the space than a traditional stretcher. It is also easier to navigate through hallways and other close quarters. Yet at the push of a button it converts to a full-length stretcher.
