Multi-Purpose Stretcher-Chair for ICU/CCU

The TransMotion Medical TMM4 Series is the perfect transport and rehabilitation solution for ICU/CCU. It is designed to reduce staff injury and patient fall risk with the exceptional motorized positioning feature, converting the unit from stretcher to chair at the push of a button.

In the critical care environment, part of the rehabilitation process is to get the patient out of bed and seated upright. This helps patients psychologically by giving them the feeling that they are getting better. It also helps patients physically, by reducing the likelihood of decubitis ulcers (pressure sores). In addition frequent patient transport to Radiology and other departments is often necessary.

Bedridden ICU patients are often too weak and have difficulty standing to make a safe transfer to a traditional gerry chair or recliner, even with assistance. This presents tremendous patient fall and staff injury risk.

The TMM4's motorized positioning features the "T" tall height setting that permits the smooth lateral transfer of the patient from the bed to the TMM4 in stretcher position, and then with the easy pendant staff can place the patient in a semi-reclined or upright position, (and back to stretcher again when returning to bed.) It features a "W" wide width to accommodate large patients and a Radiolucent Backrest for radiologic tests including: X-ray, Fluoroscopy and C-Arm. In addition it is mobile and is an ideal device to transport patients to other departments in chair or stretcher position or anything in between. An added feature is a Manual Quick Release Backrest should emergency CPR need to be performed.
