Mobile Surgical Stretcher-Chair Series
TransMotion Medical's TMM5 Surgical Stretcher-Chairs can be configured with numerous Options (items mounted at the factory) and Accessories (items that can be added and removed in the field) to meet the demanding needs of Outpatient Surgery.
This series provides superior surgeon access with the versatile Articulating Head Piece, tapered back section and lot's of leg clearance while in stretcher position. Thick cushions with memory foam offer exceptional patient comfort, and most importantly The TMM5 features motorized positioning for safe patient handling.
Utilizing a hand-held pendant allows for easy push-button patient positioning for both back and leg sections as well as a low/high height adjustment. It has a 500 lb. patient weight capacity. All TransMotion Medical Stretcher-Chairs come standard with the Quick Release back section for emergency CPR function.
With the TMM5 you no longer have to transfer the patient from stretcher to surgical table and back. The patient enters the unit in chair position in pre-op, staff press a button to convert the chair to stretcher position, roll the patient into surgery for the procedure, then press a button to set the stetcher to the preferred surgeon height, then roll the patient to post-op to recover in a comfortable reclining position. The TMM5 eliminates the need for patient transfer and manual positioning during their entire stay, thereby reducing patient fall and staff injury risk. Eliminating transfers also provides greater patient throughput.

Standard TMM5 Features:

- Exceptional Motorized Positioning with Push-Button Pendant offers smooth and safe operation of patient positioning for back, leg and height adjustment that can eliminate patient transfers. Includes auto-contour button that moves the head and leg sections simultaneously.
- Articulating Head Piece can be positioned form 37° elevated to 51°lowered. This is accomplished using two levers that are tucked away in the back of the head piece
- Removable Head Extension
- Trendelenburg positioning of 6°
- Self Storing Push Bars fold out of the way when not in use
- Manual Quick Release Back Section for emergency CPR function
- Seat Height is low to high adjustable. Comes with standard dual column.

W- Wide 28" Seat Width to accommodate larger patients.
T- Tall Triple Column adds an additional eight inches of height, from 25" low for easy patient egress, to an incredible 40" high height that is ergonomically correct for surgical staff.

OPTIONS are items mounted at the factory, annotated in reverse alpha order after the model number. Example: TMM5-XWTRFB
NOTES:
"R" folding upper Rails are only compatible with the "W"-Wide 28" width option.
If "R" folding upper Rails and "X" Seat Tilt Options are ordered together, it will reduce Trendelenburg by 10°
How the TMM4-X Seat Tilt Option Stretcher-Chair differs from the standard TMM4:
- 10-button Positioning Pendant (vs. 8-button)

We are using TMM5-TB Stretcher-Chairs for admitting eye patients into eye block area, then rolling them to surgery, then on to post-op care for discharge. In this manner we greatly eliminate the need for transferring patients from chair, to chair, to OR bed, and back to chair for their sakes and ours. It greatly eliminates transfer time, our backs, and patients who are sedated, elderly and have poor vision.
It is a convenience and huge safety issue for both us and the patients not to have to constantly transfer them. (I'm trying to talk my facility into buying one more to make our transfer issue almost nil.)
The TMM5 Stretcher-Chairs are also great for admitting patients into for shoulder/neck dermatologic surgeries (ie: removal of skin cancers, lipomas, etc.) We've also used them in recovery after a surgery for same day surgery patients. They work great for so many things.

TMM5 Pads
TransMotion Medical offers the industry's best cushions with memory foam. Cushions are 4" (10.16cm) thick, and sealed to prevent fluid from coming into contact with the memory foam.
There are TWO Fabric Options for cushions:
- Fushion II 4-Way Stretch fabric by Sure-Chek®
- Custom Color AVANT Vinyl by cfstinson®

The Sure-Chek® Blue Fushion II fabric comes standard on all TransMotion stretcher-chairs, unless another preference is stated at the time of order.
Two other Fushion colors are also available for a minimal upcharge: Teal Green and Black.

PAD FLAMMABILITY RATING
TransMotion Medical offers TWO California Technical Bulletin rated pad sets:
Standard TMM cushions are “Mattress” flammability rated: CA TB-117.
TMM also offers a higher rated mattress flammability rating: CA TB-129 pad sets upon request, for an additional charge.

01/2012 - Switched from Boltaflex to cfstinson AVANT vinyl option for cushions
04/2011 - TMA04X-15 Oxygen Tank Holder Accessory moved to patient's LEFT on base section (For units with "X" seat tilt option)
